This September, in New York, there will be a magnificent "happening" that has never occurred before. The six leading Indian classical dance troupes will meet at this one place to perform their specialty Indian classical dance styles.

The Dance Festival of India 2008 cordially invites you to its art show at the New York Academy of Art from September 19th to 21st to celebrate union of visual arts and performing arts. As part of ten days of concerts, cultural exchange, and community outreach programs in New York. It has commissioned New York-based contemporary artist Pratima Naithani (www.pratimanaithani.com) to create this art show especially for the occasion, one that presents a unique view of Indian culture.
