I have a doubt. Whether the word 'ganamurthe' (gana+ murthe) is right at all. I think it should be 'ganamruthe'- when split it will read gana + amruthe.

It will make a lot of sense when read as ' sree krishna venu gana amruthe' .

In the traditional way it does not make sense. Venu gana is an ethereal one and not the form of a prathima (murthi).

This song is in the name of diety Krishna.
'Ganamurthe sri krishna' can be justified in two ways,
#1. idol of music. ganam is music. (I checked the meaning in Tyagaraja Krithis book).
#2. this song is set on raaga ganamurthi. May be the first word justifies the raaga too.
