Vijayadhwani Students in Bharathiar Day Celebration, NJ

'Mahakavi Subramany Bharathiar' was a famous tamil poet as well as freedom fighter and his birthday was celebrated by the NewJersey Tamil Sangam on Dec 10th , 2011 at Bridgewater temple auditorium.

There were competition for fancy dress,(kids dressed up as Bharathiar), recital and drawing.

My daughter Shreya participated in the recital competition and won the second prize. She recited the famous Bharathiar song'achamillai achamillai'.

Also, lots of Cultural programs based on Bharathiar theme were performed by NewJersey kids.

It was great to watch them talk the tamil language being in U.S.

Students of Vijayadhwani performed a Bharathiar song 'Kakkai Siraginile'.
