Nama Ramayana Sloka - 'Shuddha Brahma'

2:51 PM Posted by Vijayasri

A devout Hindu believes that if he reads Ramayana(story of Rama) daily, he would be nearing his God. He also would like to meditate on the name "RAMA' so that all
his sins are washed off. 'Nama Ramayana' is the story of Rama with all kandams of the great epic of Ramayanam written for this purpose. Apart from condensing the story, it helps the devotees to meditate on the different sterling aspects of Lord Rama.

Lyrics of Nama Ramayanam Slokas along with the meaning is given below. As Ramanavami is approaching (April 3d, 2009), the devotees can recite this Namo Ramayanam sloka to get the blessings of Lord Rama.

    Hello

A music enthusiast, I indeed like your blog.

I’m interested in knowing about the Pramodini raagam. Would you please let me know what kind of occasions this raagam is used/performed? I’m primarily interested in knowing the mood it invokes.

    Thanks for your time.

I'm sorry to point out but there are quiet a few mistakes in the lyrics that has been provided.
Other than that, the explanation for each verse was right and thank you for providing such insight.
